The True Heading Carbon Pro is a Class A AIS transceiver in good working order, tested and sold with twelve months of warranty.
Overview
A Class A AIS transceiver broadcasts the vessel’s identity, position, course and speed to other ships and to shore stations, and receives the same from them — which is what puts a name and an intention on a target that radar can only show as an echo. Class A is the carriage requirement for SOLAS vessels and for inland vessels under the European rules, and it also covers safety-related text messaging. This unit is a fully integrated transceiver with its own display and keypad, so no separate controller is needed in the console.
