The Radio Zeeland TITAN 130 is a wind speed and direction indicator from the TITAN wheelhouse range, brand new and unused.

Overview

The TITAN 130 shows wind speed on an analogue gauge with a digital readout selectable in m/s or Beaufort, while wind direction is presented on an integrated LCD. It is designed to work with the P-130 solid-state wind sensor, which measures speed and direction ultrasonically and therefore has no cups, vane or bearings to wear out — an important difference in service life compared with a mechanical anemometer. Relative and absolute wind can both be displayed without an external GPS input. The LED backlight is dimmable and synchronises with the other TITAN and DMP instruments in the wheelhouse, so the whole panel dims as one at night.

Part of the TITAN Line

The TITAN 130 is one instrument in Radio Zeeland’s TITAN series, which covers the wheelhouse from the TITAN 120 echo sounder and TITAN 300 rate of turn indicator to the TITAN 500/650 autopilot and steering lever and the TITAN 1000 multifunctional display. All share the same design language and dimming behaviour. The TITAN line succeeded the earlier Falcon and Sigma lines and was itself followed by the THOR line, so this unit also suits owners maintaining or extending an existing TITAN wheelhouse.
