Overview
The SC-50 determines heading from a multi-antenna GPS installation, so it needs no correction for deviation and is unaffected by the steel of the vessel or by the cargo. It delivers heading, rate of turn, pitch and roll to the equipment that needs them — autopilot, radar, AIS and ECDIS — and the wheelmark makes it acceptable as the heading source in a certified installation. That combination is what makes it a common choice for track steering.
