The em-trak A200 is a Class A AIS transceiver with wheelmark approval and CESNI certification for inland navigation, available lightly used and tested, or new.

Overview

The A200 is the successor to the A100 and the difference is visible from the helm: a colour display with several presentation modes instead of the monochrome screen of the earlier unit, which makes target lists, messages and own-ship data far quicker to read. As a Class A transceiver it broadcasts identity, position, course and speed to other vessels and to shore stations, and it can be connected to a PC as well as to a plotter, communicating over both NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000 — the latter being what modern plotters and networks expect. The wheelmark and the CESNI approval mean the same unit satisfies both sea-going and inland requirements.

Part of the em-trak Class A Range

The A200 follows the A100, which remains widely installed. Both are fully integrated units, so replacing an A100 with an A200 does not require a separate controller or display.
